Missionary Support: teamwork

1 Samuel 17:17-20
¹⁷ Isaiah said to David, his son: Take for thy brethren an ephah of this roasted grain and these ten loaves, and to the camp to thy brethren;
¹⁸ 18 carry these ten cheeses to the captain of their thousand. Look how your brothers are doing well, and you give me a new safe.
¹⁹ They are with Saul and all the men of Israel in the Valley of Elah, fighting with the Philistines.
²⁰ David rose early in the morning. He left the sheep with a keeper, and took, and went, as Jesse had commanded him. When he arrived at the camp, the army was marching to place themselves in battle and uttering war cries.
This passage teaches us the proper way of any age to fight and that is always active.

Here we see the soldiers land on the front line of battle, in direct contact with the enemy, then, we see the second support includes David, who visited the area bringing with him food coming from Isai, for power to the physical and emotional needs of soldiers.

This can be also apply for the mission.
Physical needs, emotional, spiritual, material and financial support of ground troops (the missionaries) are filled by the body of Christ. Some are pleased to encourage visits by missionaries like David did, to bring reports field to other faculty members for the intercessions.
Other people still find pleasure in the material support as did Isaiah.
They are all a free will as a service to the Lord.

You can get services like David, or as Isai, you can give something.
Things that cost you or things you no longer need that may be cluttering up the house and occupy the place unnecessarily.
